Recent Social Media Inspiration

0

I am a crazy person when it comes to social media.  I follow so many people/places/establishments on Instagram that it’s embarrassing.

But, from this weird obsession habit, I get tons of inspiration.  Tons.  Quotes, beautiful pics, things I want to make, things I want someone else to make, etc.

So every few weeks, I am going to round up what is inspiring me through social media.  I usually just screen shot what I like and then go back and try to pin it later.  So here are lots and lots of screen shots.

(Photo Creds:  The screen shot USUALLY includes the Instagram screen name, if not, I’ll do my best to link up.)

Such a great idea for scrapbooking! Maybe at the beginning of Cam's Kindergarten scrapbook.

Someday I will have this Jennifer Meyer "evil eye" necklace.

Love. I want to make flower crowns for the day I get to go with my niece's to the Princess Tea at Disneyland.

I want all of these books. I already have a few. Follow #hodgesdesign - really great home inspiration.

Funny. Have no idea where this came from, but it covered the interwebs a few months ago. I think I screen shotted it from Ellen Degeneres.

When you copy other peoples "original" scrapbook layouts, it's informally called scraplifting. I would like to scraplift this, stat.

Project Life – Newborn Book for Lucy

0

I made my newest niece a little book for all of her newborn photos.  The hospital where she was born really has a spectacular photographer and I wanted to make a little keepsake for Lucy and her parents.

I used a hot pink album, with the Baby for Her Mini Kit.  I kept it very simple, mainly just to show off the photos.  I used my “I Love” stamp by Elise Joy because it worked perfect with “I Love Lucy!”  So cute.  I used it throughout the book saying people in her life who she will grow to love (and those people love her now).  Towards the end of the album, I left blank spots for Lucy’s monthly photos.  My sis-in-law can just slide them right in and be done.  Or, she could add monthly likes/dislikes, stats, or anything she wants.  It looks pretty with nothing, but there is space for something.  I love how it turned out!

All Project Life products I used can be found HERE.  Elise Joy stamps HERE.

Project Life – Girl’s Trip – Day 4

0

Last day of our trip!

I used Digital Project Life to put together memories from our recent girl’s trip, and then put them into a Shutterfly book.

The book turned out great, and it tells the story better than I ever could on this blog.  (Be warned:  There are plenty of “inside jokes”.  It’s what we do.)

Project Life – Girl’s Trip – Day 1

0

In April, I went on a girl’s trip with, well, three of my girlfriends. We had been planning it for a long time, and knew exactly where we wanted to go. The South. Specifically, Savannah and Charleston. It was great. Amazing. Fun. Beautiful. Etc. The list goes on and on. Over the next few weeks I’ll share our adventures with you, through the personal storytelling my friends and I did.

While there, I made my friends write down the memories we made for a few reasons:
1. So we don’t forget them.
2. I’m a memory keeper! I knew I would make a scrapbook, and they helped me do some of the work.
3. Now I have a snippet of their actual handwriting in the book.  (I had them write directly onto to blank Project Life cards that I scanned into my computer when I got home.)

I used Digital Project Life to put together the memories, and then put them into a Shutterfly book.  I waited until I got one of those awesome Shutterfly book coupons, and then sent them off to them!

The book turned out great, and it tells the story better than I ever could on this blog.  (Be warned:  There are plenty of “inside jokes”.  It’s what we do.)

February Instagrams

I love Instagram.  Too much.  Do you follow me?  I am homahakearneys.

I love adding Instagrams to my Project Life, but they were starting to take up the whole page.  So instead, I dedicated special pages just to our Instagrams.  Here is our first month of Instagrams for our Project Life album.
